• What is Kyzatrex?

  Kyzatrex is a prescription oral testosterone medication. Its active ingredient is testosterone undecanoate, a form of testosterone designed to be taken by mouth. It is a form of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and is a Schedule III controlled substance, so it requires diagnosis, labs, and ongoing follow-up with a licensed clinician.

• How does Kyzatrex work?

  Kyzatrex replaces testosterone when the body is not making enough on its own. It is absorbed through the intestinal lymphatic system rather than the older oral pathways that were more strongly linked with liver toxicity. Testosterone supports sexual function, mood, energy, red blood cell production, muscle and bone health, and other body systems.

• Who is a good candidate?

  Adult men with symptoms of low testosterone and lab-confirmed low testosterone on at least two separate morning measurements may be candidates. Your physician also reviews blood pressure, heart and prostate history, sleep apnea risk, fertility goals, current medications, and baseline labs before prescribing.

• Who should not take Kyzatrex?

  Kyzatrex is not for people with known or suspected prostate or breast cancer, and it is not indicated for women or anyone under 18. It may also be inappropriate with uncontrolled high blood pressure, severe untreated sleep apnea, significant urinary symptoms, high hematocrit, active clotting concerns, or serious heart, liver, or kidney problems.

• Do I need lab work?

  Yes. A baseline hormone panel is required before Kyzatrex can be prescribed, and the prescribing information recommends checking testosterone about 7 days after starting or changing your dose, 3 to 5 hours after your morning dose. Follow-up labs and blood pressure monitoring continue throughout treatment.

• How is Kyzatrex taken?

  Kyzatrex is taken by mouth as a capsule, with food. The standard starting dose is 200 mg twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. Take it exactly as prescribed and do not chew, crush, share, or change the medication on your own.

• How long does it take to work?

  Testosterone levels can move within the first week, but symptom changes usually take longer. Libido, morning erections, and energy may improve within a few weeks, while body composition, strength, mood, and motivation often take weeks to months and depend on sleep, nutrition, exercise, and consistency.

• What are the side effects?

  The most common concern is an increase in blood pressure, which is why blood pressure monitoring is required. Other possible effects include headache, acne, mood or sleep changes, increases in red blood cell count, estrogen-related changes, and prostate symptoms. Serious but rare risks include blood clots, cardiovascular events, and liver problems. Report yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, severe nausea, chest pain, or one-sided leg swelling right away.

• Can I take Kyzatrex if I want to have children?

  Testosterone therapy can lower sperm production, especially at higher doses or with longer use. If fertility matters now or in the future, tell your physician before starting so they can discuss semen testing, fertility counseling, or a fertility-sparing option like enclomiphene.

• What happens if I stop taking it?

  If Kyzatrex is stopped, testosterone levels usually fall back toward your baseline and low-T symptoms may return. Do not stop, restart, or change the dose on your own. If side effects occur, your physician may adjust the dose, pause treatment, or switch you to another TRT option.

• What if I'm not approved for treatment?

  If a physician reviews your intake and does not approve you for treatment, the cost of your medication is fully refunded. Initial evaluation fees are non-refundable.
